You may know him as the distinguished composer, musician, producer and lyricist that he is. A friend and collaborator of Brian Wilson Beach Boys’ album Smile, he’s also the man responsible for the classic score of Follow That Bird, a producer whose worked with a diverse array of artists from Harry Nilsson to Joanna Newson to Bonnie Raitt. We got to know Van Dyke Parks as a man of even greater ambition.
